Training on Pikes Peak 8/8/10

Click on the pictures to enlarge them.
Looking up at the Peak we thought we should think about it so
We stopped at Starbucks.
Paul and Mark ahead of me because I stopped to take off my jacket.
We ran through some beautiful country.
Well my shoes look fast anyway.
This is me thinking about how fast my shoes look .
This is Mark taking a break.
This is Paul posing like he is running.
We had to take a few detours because of the recent rains.
A bridge we couldn't cross
John and Mark running faster than Paul and I wanted to.
This is John Courtney telling us about his adventures.
This is Paul thinking about how to save the country.
I was not up in a tree this picture was taken from the trail.
.
.
Arriving at Barr Camp in 1 hour and 12 minutes. Wow what a time.
1:12 up Barr Trail would be super fast for us, but we
came from Pikes Peak highway across to Barr Camp
on Elk Park Trail. Now we can start up to the top.
.
Me thinking about not getting up.
Mark and Paul passing me again.
Tree line
Colorado Springs
The ledge these guys are standing by is called The Cirque (sûrk) it is 1,500' deep.
I love living here.
All of us on top.
We stopped for pictures on the way down.
